Zora Edwards
Conference Co-Chair
Zora Edwards is a sophomore at the University of Pennsylvania studying Communications, Consumer Psychology, and Hispanic Studies. Zora is from Miami, Florida, and attended high school in Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
As Co-Chair, Zora oversees logistics, speaker coordination, marketing, and special events. Previously, she was the Freshman Logistics and Marketing Coordinator for BILBCon. She also serves as the Marketing Chair for the UPenn Black Pre-Law Association. In her free time, Zora enjoys playing tennis, watching classic TV shows, and hanging out with her friends.
Deborah Pierre
Conference Co-Chair
Deborah Pierre is a sophomore at Wharton studying Legal Studies and Business Ethics, as well as Business Economics and Public Policy. As Co-Chair, Deborah oversees logistics, speaker coordination, marketing, and special events. Deborah’s previous involvement in BILBCon was as a Freshman Logistics Coordinator under the Logistics Committee. Outside of BILBCon, Deborah is active in the Black Pre-Law Association and various community organizations within Philadelphia. Deborah is from Orlando, Florida and loves finding new restaurants, spontaneous trips, and chicken and ranch pizza.
Aishah Bah
Logistics Co- Chair
Aishah Bah is a sophomore from NYC at The University of Pennsylvania studying Neuroscience and Healthcare Management. Previously, she was the freshman logistics coordinator for BILB. As Logistics Co-Chair, Aishah works on managing all logistical aspects of the conference, including coordinating various elements to ensure the event runs smoothly and efficiently.
Aishah also serves as the VP of finance for the founding board of the UNA-USA club. She is also involved in Black Gen Capital, The National Society of Black Women in Medicine, Black Wharton Consulting, and more!
Nia matthews
Logistics Co- Chair
Nia Matthews is a sophomore from Maryland studying at Wharton and is planning to concentrate in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI), and pursue a minor in Consumer Psychology. As a Logistics Co-Chair, Nia works on managing all logistical aspects of the conference, including vendor coordination, suppliers, caterers, transportation, and budget adherence.
Nia previously served as a Freshman Logistics Coordinator under the Special Events team. Outside of BILBCon, Nia proudly serves as Secretary of the Undergraduate Assembly, President of a student-ran voter organization called Next Gen @ Penn, and interns at the Office of New Student Orientation and Academic Initiatives as an Events Planning Intern. Nia enjoys hanging out with friends, trying new foods, and making Cricut projects in her free time.
Charity Apreku
School Liasison Chair
Charity is a junior from Accra, Ghana at The University of Pennsylvania studying Economics with a minor in Cognitive Science. As School Liaison Chair, Charity works to generate interest for BILB with various partner schools and works with the Logistics Chairs to coordinate their movements to, within and out of Penn.
Charity also serves as the VP of Communication for the Black Gen Capital. She is also active in Penn Ghana and has an avid interest in community service. She enjoys going to the gym, binge watching trash tv and reading thriller novels!
Nicolas West
Special Events Chair
Nicolas West is a sophomore in Wharton from Delray Beach, Florida, studying Behavioral Economics and Finance. As the Special Events Chair, Nic is in charge of fostering networking, collaboration, and fun amongst all attendees so be on the lookout for exciting, competitive, and entertaining events this year!
Nic served as a BILBCon Freshman Logistics Coordinator last year. He is also a proud sprinter and hurdler of the Track and Field team at Penn. He is a part of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, the Black Student Athletes at Penn organization, and is a founding board member of the Black Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Collective on campus. In his free time you can find Nic watching reality television, yapping with friends, and eating Chipotle.
Aitalia Sharpe
Speaker Acquisition Chair
Aitalia Sharpe is a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences double majoring in Communications and Health & Societies. In her role as Speaker Acquisition Chair, she works earnestly to configure a collection of esteemed professionals from several business industries that will undoubtedly inspire our attendees.
At Penn, she is also a returning consultant at Black Wharton Consulting and has held several board positions including serving as Finance Chair and Director of other campus groups. Outside of her campus commitments, Aitalia is a tutor for elementary school students, enjoys exploring new parts of the city, and loves dancing.
Toni Olusina
Marketing Chair
Toni Olusina is a Sophomore in Wharton studying Business Analytics and Finance. She is from Atlanta, Georgia. As Marketing Chair, Toni oversees the coordination of all promotional and communication materials for BILBCon.
Outside of the conference Toni active in the Wharton Equity Diversity Inclusion Group (WEDIG) where she worked on various different committees dedicated to serving underrepresented students in Wharton. She has also worked with high school students in West Philadelphia to promote healthy school breakfast items. Toni loves Afrobeats, cooking various cuisines, and watching documentaries.
